GROUND SCHOOL TRAINING INFORMATION SESSION FREE !
UAV? …..WHO?... UAS?.... TRANSPORT CANADA? DRONE? ……WHAT?..... REGULATIONS?..... FINES? WHERE? FINES? LICENCING? WHY?
MIR Aviation partnered with MultirotorHeli is offering a FREE 2-Hour Information Session on the rapidly growing unmanned aircraft industry. The presentation will include such topics as the proposed Transport Canada regulations being implemented for the second quarter of 2016, the proposed Licencing requirements, safety management and risk assessment practices and how to navigate the Transport Canada Regulatory highway.
With over 34 years of aviation experience Dave Curry, owner and operator of MIR Aviation will be giving the one-hour presentation and then open the floor to any questions you might have in regard to unmanned aircraft operations.
UAV’s, Drones, Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), whether used for fun or professionally, offer an efficient, safe and precise way to perform operations such as industrial and aerial photography, surveying, power line inspection, border patrol, maintenance assessment, and other roles which have previously required using an aircraft or a person working in dangerous situations.
For these operations remotely piloted aircraft offer lower risk to personnel and cost efficiency over mobilizing aircraft. However, utilizing this new technology can provide significant risks to stakeholder investments, property and productivity that are unique to RPAS operations. RPAS mishap rates are up to 300 times greater than general aviation (Gawron, 2008), costs for damage to equipment can run into hundreds of thousands of dollars, not withstanding provision for indirect costs relating to injury, death or derivative liability and fines. This presentation should help you stay ahead of the curve.
